Don Bartlett is President and CEO of Momentum Partners. As the company’s head of real estate and a recognized expert in the real estate industry, Bartlett is responsible for overall real estate strategy, deal flow, project selection and investment group formation. A 30 year veteran in commercial real estate, Bartlett’s expertise includes product and fund design, new business development, portfolio strategy and investment management. He has substantial transaction experience with nationally recognized household name brand companies and with numerous Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies, including Key Corp, PACCAR and Microsoft.
Prior to founding Momentum Partners, Bartlett was a co-founder of EssentialMarkets, a business-to-business e-commerce company specializing in web-enabled procurement systems, where he served as Chairman of the Board of Directors. He successfully passed control of the company to Deutsche eVentures, a division of Deutsche Banc, in partnership with GeoSorros and Quantum Sorros Fund early in 2001. Prior to EssentialMarkets, Bartlett was a co-founder of LibertyBay.com, a consumer Internet Service Provider (ISP) whose subscriber base was later sold to Earthlink. Bartlett served as Chairman and director of LibertyBay.com, and was responsible for negotiating the bulk of the company’s key business partnerships. Bartlett has worked routinely with Fortune 1000 and Global 2000 companies and their mid-tier enterprises partners as well as with numerous Household Name companies engaged in roll-out strategies and has a clear understanding of their needs and wants. In addition, his extensive experience and dedication to excellence means he understands investor expectations and the challenges successful projects face on a daily basis.
Christine M. Sorteberg is Vice President & Controller of Momentum Partners, Inc. Christine manages all financial reporting and accounting functions of Momentum Partners, Inc., and its affiliated entities. Christine is also responsible for investor communication, financial planning and analysis, and administration for Momentum Partners’ discretionary real estate funds.
Prior to joining Momentum in 2018, Christine was a Tax Senior Associate at Clark Nuber, P.S. in Bellevue, WA. Her client portfolio was comprised largely of Multifamily and Commercial real estate companies and their individual owners.
Mrs. Sorteberg earned her Certified Public Accountant license in Washington in 2014. Christine graduated from Gonzaga University, receiving both a Bachelor of Business Administration focused on Accounting and Economics, as well as a Master of Taxation.
Bob is a
veteran of 45+ years in international business and real estate development as
well as building products manufacturing, marketing and distribution. For the
past 20 years Bob served a dual role as Senior Vice President and COO of GX
International and GX Architecture & Design Consulting Service, Inc. (GX) a
division of Zhejiang Jiangong Real Estate Development Group (JGRE*) maintaining
divisions and offices in Bellevue, WA USA; Newport Beach, CA USA; London,
England UK; Sydney, Australia; Hong Kong, China and Hangzhou, China.
Concurrently he was Chief Investment Strategies Officer for Momentum Partners,
Inc. (Momentum) where he has led in project early preacquisition and later stage
entitlements, project acquisition and development, government relations,
investor relations, project planning and company management and operations.
*JGRE is a
multinational real estate and business development company headquartered in
Hangzhou, China. Bob reported directly to the Chairman of the company and was
responsible for investment selection, portfolio management, as well as
overseeing day-to-day operations. Selected a AAA rated credit enterprise by
financial institutions for 18 consecutive years. JGRE became a multi-faceted real
estate enterprise focused on the development and operation of international
urban residential, commercial, retail, hospitality and resort complexes producing
over 20 successful and fully occupied large scale mega projects while
introducing western building practices, products, design and construction
techniques to international markets.
Nuri Aydinel is COO of Momentum Partners, Inc. Nuri is an expert in business operations, project management, and team leadership. Nuri manages business organization and operations for Momentum Partners, Inc. He is integral in negotiations and procurement, data analyses and designs.
Mr. Aydinel brings a proven track record for successful business development and operational leadership to Momentum Partners. Nuri has successfully designed and built over 25 restaurants. He operates +25 successful hospitality businesses … establishes his valuable experience in project management and leadership. His experience in real estate transactions associated with his prior and existing projects brings Momentum Partners expert contributions to due diligence, contract negotiations, permitting, and leadership. His businesses continue to show positive growth, with a current management of plus 700 employees.
Jim Givens is President of New Castle Mechanical. Founded by Jim in 2008, New Castle Mechanical, a leader in its sector, specializes in value-engineered designs and implementations of top-of-the-line solutions for commercial and residential properties in King, Pierce, and Thurston counties. New Castle provides HVAC heating and cooling, hoods and exhaust, walk-in refrigeration and freezing, and stainless-steel implementation. Starting with client acquisition and through-putting to design and installation, Jim oversees operations and the coordination of over 50 employees and contractors.
Mr. Givens has invested in and managed residential and commercial properties in Pierce and King Counties for 43 years, and he’s worked with HUD to bring Section 8 rental solutions to low-income families. Jim is the managing member of 2G’s Properties, LLC, which focuses on generating value in undervalued commercial properties that 2G’s acquires and manages. Jim is also a partner in Round Table Pizza and West Wing restaurants.
Prior to running his own companies and investments, Jim was a company leading account manager, generating accounts with country clubs and casinos.
Joshua Bartlett is Marketing and Commercial Director of Momentum Partners, Inc. As such, Josh leads Momentum’s marketing, promotions, and creative design efforts in conjunction with the Company’s contractors, vendors, and professional service providers. In 2020, Josh returned full-time to Momentum Partners, and he participated in the creation of Momentum Property Management, LLC. MPM, the property management arm of Momentum Partners, Inc., was created to stabilize and prepare the Company’s recently developed 208-unit Wellstone at Bridgeport. Josh has also contributed to Momentum Partners’ projects over the past 15 years as a market researcher, social media manager, and cross-functional collaborator. Josh also has experience in site preparation, pre-construction vendor management, and community communications.
Prior to returning to Momentum Partners in 2020, Josh worked in film production for Limelight Productions, resulting from his earlier work as an assistant to Limelight founder and Chairman, Chris Parker, an ultra-high-net-worth individual (UHNWI) and founder of AsianLogic, the world’s largest gaming company, with whom Josh assisted for 3 years. With Limelight, Josh learned production design from award-winning production designer Jason Kisvarday (Everything Everywhere All at Once) on the set of Palm Springs (released 2020), the at-the-time biggest sale in the history of Sundance Film Festival. Josh’s other notable film work is as production coordinator for Cowboys, a Limelight production, set and filmed in the wilderness of Montana.
